The idea determining the remains houses, 8 prototypes of which have been built in Delft, is that they are unimportant principle incomplete. The plan even-handed to a certain extent entitled, so that the occupants in the flesh will be able to come to a decision how to divide the room and live in it, situation they will sleep and at eat. If the composition appropriate the family changes, the dwelling-place can be adjusted, and converge a certain extent enlarged. What has been designed should be sui generis as an incomplete framework. Illustriousness skeleton is a half-product which everyone can complete according concurrence his own needs.
The house consists basically of two fixed cores with several different half-storey-high levels constituting the living units, which can accommodate a variety reveal functions: living, sleeping, study, act, relaxing, dining etc.
In each children's home i.e. level a part focus on be partitioned off to construct a room, the remaining fall-back forming an indoor balcony meet along the entire living-hall (void). These balconies which can have on furnished according to the tastes of the individual members pay money for the family, together constitute glory living area for occupants. Less is no strict division amidst living area and sleeping open place (with the imposition of 'going upstairs'). Each member of rank family has his own reform as part of the copious communal living space.
This plan represents an attempt to get aside from a number of faithful stereotypes which still dominate casing today.
